Calabasas
Great white shark is a mighty fish
It rules the sea with its killer teeth;
It has a fin that when I see
I know the time has come to flee.
Killer whales have strong jaws,
They live in families called pods;
The beauty of the killer whale
Is its rounded flippers and strong tail.
Dolphins are mammals, not fish,
They are friendly and love to play;
They come in shades of blue and gray

Melancholy fumes arise from my bed. I lie here, sticky sweat dribbling off me, leaving me parched as desert sand.
Light fights its way through the curtains. It burns my eyes with sun velocity.
Just swallowing triggers an explosion of stinging wasps and nettles to creep down my throat.
Ugh!
Mom comes and gives me the smelly green medicine that is thick as molasses.
Yuck!
It tastes like squashed up cockroaches and termites that sting and bite until I fall into a painful, sticky sleep.

It's November and it's officially fat-pants season. That's right.
Go ahead and cut back on dining out if you need to, but don't cut it out of your budget altogether. Southern California's restaurants need your dollars.
