CREATIVITY CORNER
Underwater Adventure
My family is extremely numerous. Altogether, I have 258 fish sisters and brothers. The sad part is, all of my family members, except my dad, were taken by Scar, an evil octopus who wants every sea creature to be his servant. To make things worse, today at school, a bully named Marcos tried to get me.
"Hey Nerdmo, gimme your money!" Marcos yelled.
"Hey Nerdmo, gimme your money!" Marcos yelled.
I was terrified, so I gave him my lunch money.
When he left, I saw a tentacle tattooed on his neck.
"Oh, my fish!" I said softly. "Marcos must be a spy for Scar."
When he left, I saw a tentacle tattooed on his neck.
"Oh, my fish!" I said softly. "Marcos must be a spy for Scar."
Ten minutes later I spied a young female named Christy with the same tattoo. She was stealing an old fish's purse. Finally, I got home.
"Dad?" I said.
"Mm-hum?"
"I saw Scar's spies."
"Oh, my barnacles!" Dad gasped. "You did?"
"They are Christy and Marcos."
"Oh pshhh they are little fish!"
"They had tattoos on their necks. Tentacles. Scar's tentacles."
The next day, we followed Marcos and Christy to Scar's cave.
"Dad! I see them! Mom and the others!"
First we magically transformed into giant sharks and attacked the guards. Then we turned into a giant octopus and used black ink on Scar. It only did a bit of damage, so we tried the tight squeeze.
"You win," he said, trying to catch his breath. "I surrender."
"All right! Yes! Woo-hoo!" yelled our kin. Our extended family followed us home.
Two months later, Mom had another baby fish and named him after me. When he grew up, he became a mighty hero, too.
