In appreciation for the contribution that Mary Ellen Walker has made to the Kids' Reading Room over the years, both as a writer and an editor, we are featuring a series of articles she wrote entitled 'A Day at the Times.' This series celebrates the 125th anniversary of the first printing of the Los Angeles Times on Dec. 4, 1881.
