Thwart Design’s Rob Price, who has gained a cult following for parodies of Design Within Reach, does take some things seriously. For space-starved traditionalists and modern ironists, his grandfather clock is a fresh take on the classic timepiece. Three inches tall and about 14 inches wide, the clock is handmade from sustainably forested Vermont pine with a walnut stain. It's $120 from www.uncommongoods.com (search for "grandfather").
