SUCH A DEAL: Cool Stuff For Under 10 Bucks

Clean, Keep It Green

April 18, 2008

Go green in the tub — without going into the red. EcoTools, a new line of budget-friendly, eco-conscious bath accessories, are easy on the environment and your pocketbook. The naturally chic brushes, sponges and mitts, made with renewable bamboo, recycled plastics and loofah sponges, look like high-end spa designs, but carry price tags of just $1.99 to $5.99.

Items include a long-handled Bamboo Bristle Bath Brush, the Ramie Bath & Shower Mitt, a Bamboo and Loofah Facial Buff and our favorite, the soft Bamboo Bath Sponge, a natural alternative to those synthetic bath scrunchies. EcoTools' labels, made from recycled paper, are printed with plant inks and feature "green" tips for bathroom reading — such as, "Reduce the amount of plastic being wasted by bringing your own cloth bag when you shop."

All items are marketed with minimal or reusable packaging and are available at Walgreen's and Kmart stores.
