The annual CA Boom modern design show running March 14-16 includes a panel discussion on prefabricated housing, including the work of architect Rocio Romero, one of the leaders in the field. Her LV series of prefab homes, one of which is shown here, reflects some of the qualities of good modern design: efficient space planning, use of sustainable materials, passive ventilation and abundant natural light, reducing energy consumption.
