Pennington, who played under current Jets offensive coordinator

Tony Sparano

when he coached the Dolphins, is familiar with Sparano's system and his Wildcat package, which the Jets plan to use.

Pennington spent time this offseason with Sanchez, who flew to Pennington's home in South Florida to teach him about Sparano's philosophy.
