The father of a teenage rape victim is facing charges after he allegedly stabbed his daughter's accused rapist with box cutters.
Roberto Rubio, 26 of West Palm Beach, is being held without bond at the Palm Beach County Jail. He is charged with three counts of sexual assault on a victim between the age of 12 and 17.
CBS12 is not disclosing the name of the victim's father in an effort to protect the victim's identity. Court records show the father is being charged with Aggravated Assault.
Palm Beach County Sheriff's investigators say on Monday, the 13-year-old girl told her mother she was sexually assaulted on three separate occasions by a man known on the streets as "Salvador." Deputies say "Salvador" is Rubio.
The victim's mother immediately called 911 and then her husband.
While deputies were on the scene, they were told the victim's father and brother tracked down Rubio hiding out in a nearby car. There was a struggle that led to the suspect being stabbed.
