Scott Rothstein has been moved — but where?

Scott Rothstein dropped off the radar Tuesday. It wasn't immediately clear where the convicted superswindler had been moved, or why.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., a computer-generated e-mail from the Florida VINE program, which tracks offenders held in the state's jails, reported that Rothstein was no longer at the St. Lucie County Jail.

There was no immediate word from authorities about where Rothstein, in federal custody since December, may have been transferred. Entering his name into the inmate locator on the federal Bureau of Prisons' website generated the reply "Inmate Not Found."
