AYCE Singaporean chili snow crab, MC Jin at Pot, ‘Top Chef’ pop-up at The Nosh

Starry Kitchen is closing down the restaurant Saturday to cook 2000 pounds of Singaporean chili crab legs. The giant crab boil will benefit the Japanese American Cultural Community Center. Tickets are $75 for adults and $65 for kids, and include all-you-can-eat Singaporean chili snow crab legs with red potatoes and corn in a chili crab sauce, buttermilk beer beignets from Angle City Brewery, garlic noodles from Sun Noodles and a traditional Japanese manju dessert. Freestyle rapper MC Jin will celebrate the release of his new album XlV:LlX with a special performance at Roy Choi’s POT at The Line Hotel in Koreatown Thursday. The restaurant will be open for dinner at 5 p.m. and the MC Jin party will start at 8 p.m. He’ll give a live performance and there will be a DJ all night to supply tunes while you eat. The Nosh of Beverly Hills is hosting a special pop-up dinner with “Top Chef” contestants Katsuji Tanabe and Mei Lin Nov. 18. The three-course meal will feature an element of pastrami in each course, including the dessert. Tickets are $70 including tax, not gratuity.
