You can now make actual Coke at home -- in a Keurig

Share

There’s homemade fast food, homemade Nutella, and now, homemade Coke.

You can now make unlimited glasses of ice-cold Coke, Diet Coke, Dr. Pepper and Canada Dry in a Keurig Kold. Like the Keurig coffee machine, the Kold is a personal beverage system that makes carbonated drinks, using name-brand flavor pods.

To make your own Coke, just load a pod into the drinkmaker and push a button. And when the machine dispenses your drink, it’s cold.

According to a release for the Keurig Kold, each beverage is dispensed in an eight-ounce portion, and almost all of them will have 100 calories or less.

In addition to Coca-Cola Co. and Dr. Pepper Snapple products, Keurig will also offer drinks by FLYTE sport drinks, Waterful zero-calorie flavored waters; Red Barn Craft Soda, Flynn’s Soda Shop and Tierney’s sparkling iced tea.

The soda-making machines are available for sale online, for $369.99. That’s $300 more than the SodaStream, another carbonated drink machine, which retails for as little as $50.

The pods, sold in four-count boxes, are priced around $4.49 to $4.99.
