Butter cake, malva pudding and more at pastry chefs’ Bakers Will Bake sale

If you’re more inclined to eat baked goods than bake in the sun at the first weekend of Coachella, then the 2nd annual Bakers Will Bake sale is calling you.

On Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hollywood Farmers Market, the bake sale will gather pastries from some of L.A.’s best bakers and chefs to raise funds for the Garden School Foundation, a local organization that focuses on developing garden-based programs at under-served schools throughout the city.

Confirmed treats include:

Cooks County – fruit nut granola, strawberry heart tarts and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies
Little Flower – buckwheat sablé cookies
Clementine – classic apple pie and bake-at-home pie from Clementine
Gourmandise School – baskets with sourdough, jams, homemade Nutella, cookies and caramel shortbread brownies
Huckleberry – gluten-free lemon poppy seed cake
BLD – blueberry crumble bars, pistachio dried cherry wedding cookies, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies
Clark Street Bread – organic sourdough breads
The Hart and the Hunter – Philadelphia butter cake and carmelitas
Sugarbird Sweets – green tea mini scones, white chocolate lemon blueberry mini scones and lavender-vanilla shortbread
Sqirl – Malva pudding cake, Valrhona-fleur de sel cookies
Providence/Connie and Ted’s – blondies, carrot cupcakes, chocolate coconut tarts
Cake Monkey – magic bars, cakewiches
Morning Glory Confections – fleur de sel brownies, spicy brownies, gluten-free orange almond cake with blood orange and cardamom
Pig and Pastry – spring hand pies
Red Bread – sourdough bagels, Russian black buns, gluten-free chocolate financiers, cracked cookies, seasonal jam pop tarts
Akasha – Passover flourless torte, mini fruit pocket pies
Little Dom’s – fruit focaccia, gluten-free chocolate chunk scones

Pi Bake Shop – chocolate bourbon pecan pies and peanut butter and jelly pies
