Vegan-themed emojis for your phone -- and a rapper made them

Share

If you’ve been scouring your smartphone app store looking for vegan-themed emojis, Lil B wants to help.

The rapper, also known as Brandon McCartney, teamed with Follow Your Heart, a Los Angeles-based vegan food company, to release vegEmoji, a set of vegan-themed emojis.

The app allows users to send emojis of apples that say “totes,” radishes that say “rad,” bottles of Vegenaise (vegan mayo made by Follow Your Heart) and a piece of broccoli and a carrot holding hands with the words “eat ur veggies.”

You’ll also find items that read “cool people are kind to animals,” “let’s meet at the farmers market,” “don’t forget to recycle,” and more.

McCartney isn’t a vegan, but he told the Daily Dot that the partnership with Follow Your Heart “was a natural fit,” and that he only wants to “do things that help people.”

VegEmoji is a free download from the iTunes app store for the iPhone.

McCartney also has a sticker app called Basedmoji that provides users with various caricatures of McCartney and blurbs that read “can I borrow some money?” “cool,” and “come over.”
