FIG, Littlefork, more participate in Taste of the Nation food festival in Culver City

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Taste of the Nation is hosting a food festival on June 9 at Media Park in Culver City. FIG, Superba Snack Bar, Paiche, Border Grill, Ray’s and Stark Bar, Plan Check, Cliff’s Edge, CHAYA, M Café, Loteria Grill, littlefork, MB Post, and Fishing with Dynamite are all slated to participate.

There will also be bars, wineries, and breweries represented with offerings from El Segundo Brewing Co., Black Market Liquor Bar, Golden Road Brewing, The Bruery, and One Hope Wine.

VIP ticket holders will get to try food from Danny Bowien, the 2013 James Beard “Rising Star Chef” of Mission Chinese Food.

Jose Andres and Marc Murphy will each compile their favorite childhood recipes into a commemorative cookbook called “Taste of the Nation Los Angeles 25th Anniversary Recipe Book.” The book is on presale now for $25. There will also be both a live and a silent auction and a culinary competition.

100% of of the proceeds will benefit Share Our Strength’s “No Kid Hungry” Campaign, an anti-hunger organization that works to ensure all children are eating healthy food every day. The Culver City event will specifically benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, California Association of Food Banks, and organizations that work to reform food policy, such as California Food Policy Advocates and the St. Joseph Center.

Tickets for Taste of the Nation Los Angeles are $160 for VIP, $110 for General Admission, $25 for children 12 to 18, and free for children under 12. Tickets are available at ce.strength.org. 9070 Venice Blvd, Culver City.
