Tangerine dream

For one more jar of jam, marmalade or preserves to earn a spot front and center on an already loaded pantry shelf, it’s got to be divine. Les Comtes de Provence’s organic clementine preserves, made in Provence from that sweet variety of tangerine, deserve prime real estate. Prepared in small batches in copper kettles, they’re packed with coarsely chopped nuggets of candied peel suspended in a tangy, sauce-like jam. Try some drizzled over yogurt, ice cream or sliced stone fruit, or lavishly spread on toasted nut bread. Late at night you might even be tempted to sneak it by the spoonful. Better keep it within easy reach.

Les Comtes de Provence Confiture de Clémentine Biologique, $4.99 (13 ounces). Available at most Whole Foods markets.
