Detroit manager Jim Leyland says another umpire is accepting responsibility for a blown call that went against the Tigers.

Leyland says Gary Cederstrom acknowledged he erred when he called a third strike on Johnny Damon that ended the Atlanta Braves' 4-3 win over the Tigers on Saturday night with the bases loaded.

Replays showed the full-count pitch from Peter Moylan was outside. A walk would have tied the game.

Leyland said Sunday he called Cederstrom after the game and the umpire said, "'I kicked it. I knew it right away."'

Umpire Jim Joyce acknowledged he missed a call at first base that cost Detroit's Armando Galarraga a perfect game on June 2. Joyce later apologized to Galarraga.
