A former youth home director accused of sexually assaulting teenagers, is heading to trial, and facing more charges.
Michael Terpening ran a non-profit called Earth Services based in Bellevue. The organization started as an animal care facility and turned into a center to help troubled youth.
He was arrested on a nine-count felony warrant in August, and received two additional charges last week.
Today Terpening was bound over on two more counts. The alleged victim is now 22 years old and spoke at a preliminary hearing today.
The victim said the assaults happened 12 years ago.
Terpening will have another pre-trial hearing next month on all of the charges he is facing.Copyright © 2014, Los Angeles Times
