Three Detorit Tigers were named to the American League All-Star game on Sunday.

Justin Verlander was named to his 5th All-Star game, the starting pitcher will be determined later by American League manager Ron Washington, but Verlander figures to receive some consideration.

Prince Fielder was voted the starter at First Base, it will be the 4th All-Star game for Fielder, his first in the American League.  Fielder was the All-Star game MVP last season.

Miguel Cabrera was named as a reserve for the American League, it will be his 7th All-Star game. Cabrera has never been voted a starter, but he did start the 2010 All-Star game when Justin Morneau couldn't play due to an injury.

Austin Jackson was not selected to the team and is not part of the final vote for the final roster spot.  Jackson is hitting .326 with 8 home runs and 34 runs batted in.
