It's on to Plan B, C, and D for the Detroit Red Wings.

The two biggest prizes in the 2012 NHL free agent class, Nashville defenseman Ryan Suter and New Jersey forward Zach Parise, have chosen to take their collective talents to the Minnesota Wild.

The Red Wings made contract offers to both players and had a contingent of representatives fly out to Madison, Wisconsin yesterday to meet with Suter in person. So did the Minnesota Wild.

According to the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, Suter and Parise have agreed to 13-year deals with the Wild.
