Dozens of neighbors and community members gathered at the Second Congregational United Church of Christ at 525 Cheshire on Wednesday evening to grieve for the seven victims who were killed last Thursday.

"While time will bring healing the scars will remain," said Grand Rapids Police Chief Kevin Belk who thanked the community for all the support since last Thursday's shootings.

City commissioners along with Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell and representatives from the Pine Rest Crisis Team were in attendance.
