Daytona International Speedway is more than just the home of the Daytona 500. It is also the birthplace and home of stock car racing in the United States. The speedway, which opened in 1958, has hosted hundreds of races, including the annual Daytona 500, as well as Speed Weeks, a 2 week series of races leading up to the 500.
Thousands of race fans descend on the complex every year to enjoy watching their favorite drivers in action. The speedway offers daily tours that take visitors around the 2.5 mile oval and through the infield, pit and winners' circle areas.
The speedway complex is also home to Daytona USA, billed as the "ultimate motor sports attraction" and the official attraction of NASCAR. Daytona USA opened in 1996 and has been entertaining race fans ever since with a combination of innovative, interactive exhibits designed especially with NASCAR fans in mind. The 10,000 square foot expanse includes an IMAX theater, as well as exhibits on the Daytona 500 and the history of NASCAR. Visitors will also get the opportunity to feel the rush of accelerating to 200 MPH in a race car through futuristic simulation technology.

Daytona Dream Laps uses IWERKS simulator technology to put riders in the driver's seat at the Daytona 500.
