I was only 8 years old that August and still remember it vividly. I
lived at 127 Lovely Street. I loved growing up in Unionville and it
still hurts to think of all that I remember about that time.
I can still see the gray silt, the buckled! gym floor at Union School, Myrtle Mills and Hart's 5 and 10 ruined. I have a copy of Flood Friday and still have it out.
I love Unionville and things will always be as they were in my heart. I look forward to coming in September and visitng the museum and the memorial for the flood.
It won't be easy, but I will walk around town and remember
