Tom Bouvier Windsor
I was 9 years old at the time of the 1955 flood and lived in Windsor. My dad bought an Irish setter and we named him Tim, but we had to sell him because of his temperament – very excitable.

A family from Winsted bought the dog. On the night of the flood the Irish setter barked and barked, saving the lives of the family. He was awarded a medal by the mayor.

Shortly after the flood, the family drove to Windsor with Tim. My dad arranged a small reception at his Ford dealership in town. Tim arrived wearing his medal around his neck

As a young boy, I was very sad when we sold my dog. But I still remember the love that Irish setter received from that family. I regret not remembering the family name.
