2017 Academy Award nominations: The snubs, surprises and what happened to Scorsese?

Allie Wrubel

While working for Walt Disney, Allie Wrubel collaborated with singer Ray Gilbert to compose the song "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" for the film 'Song of the South.' The song won the Oscar for Best Song in 1947. Wrubel was born in Middletown and attended Wesleyan.
