Ira Turner, of East Hartford, and Lorraine Cichon, at right, of Ellington are startled to find out that what they thought was a statue of Reverend Thomas Hooker outside the Connecticut Building in 2000 was actually alive. Wilson Faude, the Executive Director of the Old State House in Hartford, dressed in green painted clothes to look like a statue of Hooker, who was the founder of Connecticut.
