Travel the roads of Connecticut enough and you will discover roadside springs, where water emerges from the Earth. Of them, Leff says, "Flowing along bedrock fractures and percolating through sand and gravel, their waters carry the very essence of the countryside." Some, but not all, are regularly tested to ensure they are safe to drink from. Keep in mind, some may not be safe for drinking. This spring is in Roxbury on Route 67.
