Located in Old Lyme, the 11-acre museum is a center of Impressionist painting. Visitors can enjoy the Impromptu Encounters with Art program, where you can paint "en plein air," as artists did a century ago. You can also visit the Georgian mansion of Florence Griswold (b. 1850), who nourished the creative spirits of American Impressionists, and walk the restored gardens.
