Art and music are the passions of Jane Penfield. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College, and has a master's degree from the Hartt School of Music. She discovered her love of drawing and painting during her college years, and began to pursue it as a serious avocation about fifteen years ago. Her work includes watercolor, oil, and pastels, and many reflect the New England landscape. She has shown and sold her work through galleries and art shows in the region. Jane is the assistant director of workplace giving at the Greater Hartford Arts Council, and was executive director of the professional choir Concora. In addition, she is assistant organist and choirmaster at St. John's Episcopal Church in West Hartford.
