East Hampton Artist Elizabeth Sennett has been painting her world for 40 years: Her flower gardens, the New England Landscape, floral still lifes and the people she knows. She is a founder of the East Hampton Art Association and continues to be very active in it. A student of the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts and the Connecticut School of Fine Art, she has taught painting in East Hampton and Middletown for 30 years. Sennett has displayed her work in many one-woman shows and won numerous awards. "I painted that urn on location at St. Clements in Portland, and I stood in the corner of the grounds there and that is the Connecticut river there in the background and the wisteria was in bloom," she said of this week's cover.
