Roey Brocuglio of Enfield graduated from Enrico Fermi High School in 2005 and is a senior at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island where she is pursuing a double major in Visual Arts and Elementary Education. During her junior year, she spent a semester studying art in Florence, Italy, and had her work exhibited in two small shows. Her artwork on the cover, titled "Heyday of the Decorators." is part of a series called "A Woman's Touch," inspired by a book of the same title. "I started these collages because of my initial response to the book, supposedly summarizing women's design, but amounting to little more than embroidery and dishes. If this is truly the sum of women's contribution, it is a sad state of affairs," she says.
