Chuckles, the official Ct. state groundhog, by proclamation of the Governor, resides at the Lutz Children's Museum and made a pre-Groundhog's Day appearance Wednesday at the "G is for Groundhog" program for toddlers at the museum. Among the participants in the program, where children made groundhog masks and listened to stories, was Madeline Morrison, 2, of Manchester, at right. Chuckles, who is now more than 10 years od, partially deaf and partially blind, will resume his celebrity status Friday morning at 7:03 a.m. at the museum.
