Multi-Tony Award nominee Marc Kudisch (Hartford Stage's "Summer and Smoke") joins the Yale Repertory Theatre production of "Hamlet" starring Emmy Award winner and Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti.
Kudisch plays Claudius and the Ghost of Hamlet's Father.
Also cast is Gerry Bamman, a frequent Hartford Stage actor in the '80s and '90s., who will play Polonius.
Also featured are Lisa Emery as Gertrude and Brooke Parks as Ophelia.
Completing the cast are, Chris Bannow, Jarlath Conroy, Austin Durant, Robert David Grant, Felicity Jones, Patrick Kerr, Erik Lochtefeld, Michael Manuel, Paul Pryce, Tommy Schrider, Mickey Theis, Charlie Tirrell, Nicholas Tucci, Harriet Weaver, and Remsen Welsh.
The musicians are Michael Compitello,Brian Ellingsen, Christopher Scanlon, Bill Solomon, and Maura Valenti.
The production, staged by Reps' artistic director James Bundy, will play at the University Theatre with previews beginning March 15, opening March 21 and continuing through April 13.
This production is part of "Shakespeare for a New Generation," a national program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
