Maurice Samuel "Mo" Vaughn (born December 15, 1967)

Nicknamed "The Hit Dog," Vaughn is a former MLB first baseman.  He played from 1991 to 2003 with the Boston Red Sox, Anaheim Angels, and New York Mets, as stated by the <a href="http://articles.courant.com/1999-12-13/sports/9912130170_1_internet-vote-youth-center-mo-vaughn">Hartford Courant</a>. Vaughn was a three-time All-Star selection and won the American League MVP award in 1995.  He was born in Norwalk.
