Nicknamed "The Hit Dog," Vaughn is a former MLB first baseman. He played from 1991 to 2003 with the Boston Red Sox, Anaheim Angels, and New York Mets, as stated by the Hartford Courant. Vaughn was a three-time All-Star selection and won the American League MVP award in 1995. He was born in Norwalk.
