"Mystic Harbor, Connecticut" by Ernest H. Barnes, 1873-1955. This could be the site that Barnes had in sight when he painted this piece. The Inn at Mystic seems as though it would be a logical place for the painters of the day to stay. It is still a comfortable old hotel. Today there is a motel added to the front of the property.
