It¿s a given in any football game at any level, but still turnovers play too big a part in games and if it¿s a close game, turnovers can lead to the final result. And UConn, tied for 86th, is one of the worst in the country here with 10. Rutgers has been very good protecting the ball, tied for eighth nationally with only three turnovers in four games. Yarwin Smallwood and the UConn defense is going to have to create turnovers (as it did vs. Maryland, pictured) against Rutgers while the offense cannot give the Scarlet Knights any, especially on the road. Rutgers is tied for 18th in the country in turnover margin (plus 1.25). UConn is, gulp, No. 92 out of 120 schools in Division 1-A at minus .80.
