Jennifer Boylan of Burlington writes, "I am a graduate student of counseling at Saint Joseph College and I traveled to Guyana to do volunteer work at orphanages and hospitals with nursing students and another counseling student. During our trip we were able to spend the night in the rainforest and travel up and down Kimuni Creek, a ¿creek¿ that is practically the width of the Farmington River and is the main transportation in the rainforest. My classmates and I were traveling to an Amerindian village on Kimuni Creek that can only be accessed by water and as we drifted down the creek, I snapped a shot of a small boy in a boat and of a monkey in a tree. Like many of the photos I took on this trip, these images are moments in time that can never be replicated. I feel honored that I had the opportunity to explore and contribute to a beautiful country like Guyana."
