Readings of David Sedaris Holiday Stories Set for Twain House

Hartford Courant

Chion Wolf, Debi Freund, Angie Joachim, Tracy Wu Fastenberg and yours truly (making my Connecticut performance debut) will be the quartet of local folks reading from David Sedaris' semi-twisted stories from his “Holidays on Ice” collection of short stories on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 at the Mark Twain House & Museum, 351 Farmington Ave. The event, directed by Jacques Lamarre, is called “Christmas Punch.”

Joachim, a New Orleans actress now in the state, will read “Greetings to Our Friends and Family!!” Fastenberg, aka “Asian Persuasion,” will also appear with Joachim.

Freund is a local actor and director, most known for her association with the Little Theater of Manchester. She will “Based on a True Story,”  about “a Hollywood mover and shaker shaking down a church full of country bumpkins.”

Wolf is an actress, producer, photographer, and songwriter and a familiar voice on Connecticut Public Radio's “The Colin McEnroe Show.” Wolf will read “Christmas Means Giving.”

I will read “Front Row Center with Thaddeus Bristol,” “about a vicious theater critic's review of children's Christmas pageants.” It won't be a stretch.

Tickets are $15 / $10 for museum members. Information: 860-280-3130 and
