Sheldon Harnick To Speak at Berkshire's "Fiddler"

Sheldon Harnick, the three-time Tony Award winning lyricist of such shows as "Fiddler on the Roof," "She Loves Me," "The Apple Tree" and "Fiorello!" will talk about his life and career in the theater at a presentation at the Barrington Stage Company's main stage theater at 30 Union St. on Sunday, June 17 at 3 p.m.

The event will be moderated by Tony-winning Composer/Lyricist William Finn ("The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee," "Falsettos").

Harnick, 88, will also talk about his experience in the making of 1964's "Fiddler on the Roof" whose creative team included composer Jerry Bock, librettist Joseph Stein, producer Harold Prince, star Zero Mostel and director Jerome Robbins.

The event is free and open to the public.

Barrington Stage is currently presenting its production of "Fiddler on the Roof" starring Brad Oscar.
