Treat Williams Featured In Summer Season In Berkshires

There’s even more theater activity in the Berkshires this summer with various shows at the three theaters belonging to the Berkshire Theatre Group.

Treat Williams (TV’s “Everwood,” films “Prince of the City,” “Hair”) will star in James Goldman’s “The Lion in Winter” at the Fitzpatrick Main Stage in Stockbridge, Mass. (formerly the Berkshire Theatre Festival). The show, with Robert Moss directing, plays June 25 to July 13

BTG will present the musical “Oklahoma!,” directed by Eric Hill, at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, July 1 to 20.

William Mastrosimone’s “Extremities” plays BTF’s smaller Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge July 11 to 27. Karen Allen (“Indiana Jones” films) who starred in the original 1983 Broadway production and who lives in the Berkshires, directs. Mastrosimone’s new play, “Ride the Tiger” plays Long Wharf Theatre March 27 to April 21.

Corinna May and David Adkins star in Bernard Slade’s two-character comedy, “Same Time, Next Year” at the BTF main stage, July 23 to Aug. 10, directed by Kyle Fabel.

John Willard’s mystery “The Cat and the Canary” follows at the Unicorn July 31 to Aug. 24,

The season wraps up with Eugene O’Neill’s “Anna Christie” at the BTF main stage Aug. 20 to 31, directed by David Auburn. Rebecca Brooksher stars in the title role.
