Scientists can sequence the entire genome of a fetus from small pieces of fetal DNA in a pregnant woman's blood and pick up disorders inherited from the mom-to-be, the dad-to-be or from brand new mutations. A new study shows this can be done without obtaining any genetic information from the man, removing one ethical barrier.
