Bedbugs found to harbor MRSA, other diseases

Researchers have now found antibiotic-resistant bacteria in bedbugs from three hospital patients in Vancouver, Canada. The report, in which researchers point out there is no evidence linking bedbugs to disease transmission, was published online before being printed in the June 2011 edition of the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORGOV000011" title="U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" href="/topic/health/diseases-illnesses/u.s.-centers-for-disease-control-prevention-ORGOV000011.topic">CDC</a> journal Emerging Infectious Diseases.
