A walled and gated Encino estate that has been home to actors Al Jolson, Kirstie Alley, Katey Sagal and Charlie Sheen at various times has come back on the market at $6.95 million.

Updated in keeping with its architectural history, the 1934 traditional residence has Venetian plaster walls, vaulted beamed ceilings, marble and wood floors, custom cabinetry and woodwork, and marble counters. A formal dining room, a butler’s pantry, an office/library, a gym, a wine cellar, a media room, den, two bars, seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two half-baths lie within 8,522 square feet of living space.

The 2.26-acres of landscaped grounds includes mature fruit trees, a koi pond, an outside kitchen, fountains, a sports court, a swimming pool, and a pool house with a bedroom and kitchen.

Jolson, the singer and comedian who died in 1950 at age 64, was an early owner. The current owner, Broadway, film and television producer Michael Jacobs, bought the estate from Sheen in 2006 for $6.62 million, and he bought it from Sagal in 2004 for $4.2 million, public records show.
