Following the release of her over-the-top hot-pink bedroom collection for Anthropologie, Italian designer Paola Navone will premiere a new, more subdued collection on Monday for Crate and Barrel.

The 140 items include graphic ceramic dinnerware, modern textiles, furniture, accessories and quirky lighting with unexpected bursts of red. Navone, who is know for melding different styles from around the world, has said the new collection reflects her passion for travel and global design.

“Paola draws influence from many cultures, which she blends effortlessly into her designs, her homes and her personal style,” said Marta Calle, Crate and Barrel president and chief merchant. “We are thrilled to collaborate with Paola on this exclusive, affordably-priced collection, which reflects our shared values of casual elegance in entertaining and everyday living.”

The collection will be available online and in select stores (including the Grove in Los Angeles) on Monday and in all Crate and Barrel locations by Sept. 13.

The prolific Navone -- a design icon in Italy but less known in the American mass market -- is further expanding her U.S. portfolio by designing the interiors for the Como Hotel, scheduled to open in Miami Beach in December.
