Designed by Evelyn Ackerman, these horse-shaped door pulls, circa 1959, were hand cast in Florence, Italy, and made from brass with vermillion agate inlays. Though the Ackermans specialized in affordable home accessories, they also made more expensive items for architects and interior designers. The fanciful knobs were exhibited at the Mingei International Museum in San Diego.
