Red Sox rookie reliever Daniel Bard made his MLB debut on May 13, 2009 and has dominated opposing hitters ever since, becoming one of manager Terry Francona's most trusted arms out of the pen. Bard dominated the competition at AAA Pawtucket this year, going 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA in 11 games, while striking out 29 batters in only 16 innings pitched. He has fared similarly well in the majors, with a 2.01 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 31.1 innings through August 2.
