Jesse Carlson - Berlin

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Jesse Carlson made his big league debut at age 27 in 2008 after spending seven seasons in the minors. That year he posted the most wins for a Blue Jays reliever (7) since 2001, when Paul Quantrill won 11 games. Carlson starred in both baseball and basketball at Berlin High School and helped Berlin win the state championship in 1999. He played college baseball at the University of Connecticut, lettering from 2000 to 2002, before getting drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the 2002 MLB Draft.
