Andres Vargas of Trinity, left, and Richard Dodd of Yale played the third ladder position match on Court 1 Wednesday night. Vargas won the best-of-five match, 3-1. The top-ranked Trinity Bantams squash team met the second-ranked Yale Bulldogs at Trinity. The Bantams are the 12-time defending national champions and hold the longest winning streak in the history of intercollegiate sports of 229 consecutive wins. More than a decade has passed since the Bantams have lost a match; their last defeat occurred in February 1998 against Harvard.
