Marybelle and Richard Hawke, parents of Jennifer Hawke-Petit, leave the New Haven Superior Courthouse Tuesday after the jury reached a verdict in the Steven Hayes trial who found guilty of the murder of their daughter and her two children. Hayes was found guilty on 16 of 17 counts, including all six capital felony charges. Each capital felony makes him eligible for the death penalty.
