Proposed Appalachian Trail Route In 1925

This was what Stamford native Benton MacKaye proposed in March 1925 to the group of enthusiasts who were forming the Appalachian Trail Conference that weekend in Washington, while the rest of the town was getting ready for Calvin Coolidge's inauguration later that week.
