( John Woike, Hartford Courant / October 2, 2012 ) Joanne Hammill, right, and Michael Bielawa, behind her, react to former Bridgeport Bluefish player Adam Greenberg's at-bat for the Marlins against the Mets Tuesday night. Greenberg struck out on three pitches, but the fans that gathered at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport to watch were proud of his effort. Hammill is a ticket collector at the stadium where she worked with her husband Gary for 13 years before he died of lung cancer in December. She watched Tuesday's Marlins-Mets game with her son Tim, on the left. |
